Collectible Cars

Moroso Madness - Photos

First we got he vehicles unloaded and ready for the procession.

Then Dave of Transport Masters explained to the MFO how much the Transport bill was going to be.

The cars formed up behind Lurch and got ready for a lap of the road course. John Zuccarelli our SCCA driver was conned into driving the Hearse but, for some reason, we didn't have any shortage of volunteers when we wanted a driver for Mongo. One of our truck drivers was the lucky one and spent the rest of the day grinning from ear to ear! The MFO had to explain to Nigel there was to be no overtaking!

Then we got a few shots of the cars while they were in the procession.

Now we moved to the ¼ mile drag strip for the Mongo/Jethro challenge. They lined up at the start.

Jethro smoked his tires. Mongo smoked his tires and they launched down the strip. At the finish line it was close but Jethro won the day with a 13.38 @ 108.52 miles per hour.

Not to be out done, Mongo challenged the GTO, the Mustang and the Benz. They all smoked a few tires but the best anyone could do was 13.55 @ 108.39 miles per hour. So Jethro still won the day.

The track guys wanted to know what Mongo had under the hood that sounded so good.

Gretchen and Redford are unleashed on the road course.

And finally the winners for the day.
