The late 1950's were the era of fins and chrome. For 1958, Buick's 50th anniversary, they decided they wanted more fin and more chrome than any other manufacturer.
The '58 Buicks had a lot of chrome... The Limited Edition had it's own massive amount of "Limited" trim package added to the standard trim. Louvered Taillamps, 12 vertical Louvres on the quarter panels, plus the "Limited" script and crest, were extra items that set if off. But only 839 customers could afford it!
