Following the incredible success of the 1965 and 1966 Mustangs, the 1967 year was completely redesigned. Wheelbase remained at 108" but the body was longer and wider. Changes were made to the front grille opening, the rear taillight panel, simulated air scoops on the quarter panels, hood louvers had indicator lights and the interior was redesigned with a completely new dash panel housing all instruments.
